Not all categories are available for every island. Santa Maria island available categories are A, B, C, F, J. Flores island available categories are A, B, C, D, F, J.

Other Conditions
Driver’s age must be 23 years or older and must have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 1 (one year).

About Extra Fees
Rent a car companies in the Azores usually don’t include on their price quotations the circulation tax (mandatory) and basic CDW coverage. Some will also not include IVA tax of 15%. The cost of CDW + circulation tax starts at 11.67 EUR per day. Pricing includes basic CDW, IVA and the circulation tax. Always ask if CDW (not to be confused with super-CDW), IVA and circulation taxes are included in the price.

Excess Liability
About CDW. CDW is a basic coverage. In case of accident/theft you are liable up to a maximum amount of: Group A, B, C 600 EUR | Group D, E 750 EUR | All other groups 1400 EUR

About Super-CDW. You may chose to purchase Super-CDW. Super CDW covers almost all of the responsibility in case of theft or accident except for a 57.50 EUR deductible.

Super CDW cost = Group A, B, C 10 EUR per day | Group D 12 EUR per day | All other groups are not eligible for Super-CDW

Note: Insurance may be purchased at rental car counter upon arrival.
